After the Move: Flow, Feedback & An Invitation to the Denver Community

When Working Spaces decided to launch the brand new Client Experience Center in Denver, the vision wasn’t simply about “moving in.”

The goal was to unlock new energy, collaboration, and connection for the internal team and the design community alike. A month later, it’s clear the space is already doing more than looking good. It’s shaping culture, relationships, and possibilities.

Suzan Mullett, VP of Sales and Denver Market Leader, shares what’s working, what surprised her, and where the team is headed next.

A Milestone in Motion

The center’s debut came with a built-in deadline: the Kimball Select Conference, hosted in Denver soon after move-in. “Everything needed to be as close to done as possible,” Suzan recalls. The pressure proved productive. The doors opened on time, with only a short punch list left to tackle.

From that first event, the energy shifted. The space felt alive, not staged.

“Watching our team activate these spaces in ways we hadn’t even planned has been so rewarding,” Suzan says. “People are using every zone… heads-down desks, private rooms, collaboration areas… in ways we never anticipated.”

Designed for Flow, Flexibility & Connection

Every detail was intentional, built around choice: places to focus, meet, recharge, and create.

  • Private rooms for deep work or quiet calls
  • Open collaboration zones for quick problem-solving
  • Dedicated desks for individual focus

In the previous office, teams were more dispersed. Now proximity has replaced long email threads with real-time conversation.

“Our PMs, PCs, and designers are together in one area, which makes collaboration so natural,” Suzan explains. “Sales is nearby but slightly separated. Close enough to connect, far enough to minimize distractions.”

Aesthetically, curves in the architecture and furniture echo one another, creating a sense of flow that feels both energetic and calm—an intentional nod to the Ballpark District’s modern, elevated vibe.

“You Nailed It”: Genuine Feedback from Visitors

Since opening, the response from design firms and end users has been overwhelmingly positive.

“The phrase we keep hearing is, ‘You nailed it.’ And it’s genuine—you can tell when people really mean it.”

Beyond aesthetics, visitors comment on how comfortable and authentic the Client Experience Center feels—proof that beauty and usability can coexist.

The Hardest Choice: The Wisdom of Exclusion

In great design, intention isn’t only about what you include — it’s also about what you deliberately leave out. For Suzan and her team, that became a guiding principle throughout the process.

“We had so many great ideas, but we had to remind ourselves that not everything belongs in one space,” Suzan explains. “Editing is part of design. You have to create room for the architecture and furniture to speak.”

That discipline — knowing when to stop — became a quiet hallmark of the new center. Instead of layering every wall and surface, the team chose clarity over clutter, allowing the materials, light, and flow to define the experience. The result is a space that feels intentional, balanced, and timeless.

“We learned to edit—no art on every wall, no finishes on every surface. Simplicity lets the furniture and architecture breathe.”

That restraint created a timeless foundation. Finishes were chosen for longevity so the team can refresh furnishings as trends evolve without losing harmony.

The Next Phase: Activation & Invitation

With the build complete, attention turns to activation. Rather than a single ribbon-cutting, Working Spaces is hosting curated, small-group events designed for meaningful connection.

“We’re inviting design firms, clients, and partners in smaller settings so we can really talk, learn, and collaborate,” Suzan says.

Inside, certain spots have quickly become favorites:

  • The Culture Café, an open hub for lunch, brainstorming, and impromptu meetings
  • The Boardroom, featuring a locally sourced solid-surface table
  • The Living Room Office, a cozy retreat that feels like home

Each space reflects the larger mission: comfort, creativity, and community.

Timeless Vision, Open Doors

Looking ahead, Suzan hopes the Client Experience Center’s essence endures.

“The finishes and architecture are timeless. We can evolve the furniture and layouts, but the foundation will always feel right.”

More than a showroom, the Denver location stands as a living example of what intentional design can do—a space that works.

“We’ll welcome you with open arms,” Suzan adds. “Come see the space, share ideas, and discover how we can bring value to you and your clients.”
